Sounds like wear in the constant velocity joints. They have different names on different makes but do the same job of providing flexibility in the shaft that transfers drive from the gearbox to the wheels.

Replacing Audi A4 Wheels ....?

Hello. I currently own a 2005.5 Audi A4 Quattro 2.0T with 17 inch wheels. My buddy just got rid of his 2001 Audi Quattro A6, but needs to sell his winter wheels and tires. The 2001 A6 had 16 wheels.
